Job Description:
General Position Definition:
Scheduler Operator (Coastal) ensures system nominations / orders are set up to ensure product movement to and from various Shell & Oil Majors supply locations in South Africa.
Purpose:
Communicate and coordinate hydrocarbon movements with equity refineries, terminals, trading partners, traders, and internal businesses units
Track and coordinate terms of spot, term and exchange contracts
Encode scheduling information and order requirements into GSAP scheduling systems
Create/support Pipeline Portal entries to ensure timely primary product injection and delivery to depots
Responsible for vessel clearances and order creation for barge loading/bunkering (Shell Trading House)
Accountability:
Manage and process entries into GSAP for primary bulk movements, source to depot and trading partners stock requirements
Source to depot for Pipeline, Road; Vessel; Rail.
Supply oil majors with order numbers for throughput contracts as well as stock and replenishment data
Shell order number supply to oil majors/Joint Bunker Services/Suppliers
Manage workflow items for supplier payments
Create, maintain, and monitor GSAP nominations as per KPIs
Provide data for improvement projects to other classes of business
Monitor, analyse, and resolve error logs within tight deadlines - Interface with Primary Transport team, HM Finance, Envelope Planning, Oil Majors and Electronic Data Interchange Team to ensure timely resolution
Manage primary freight reconciliations for Vessel; Pipe, Road and Rail Movements.
Support Primary Distribution Schedulers with the management of the progression tools (stock planning) and through-put contracts with oil majors to ensure optimum bulk product stock control and minimize stock outs.
Generate forecast reports and track performance analyses/trends.
Supply oil Majors daily with
Resolve stakeholder queries
Support supply team with GSAP and other responsibilities

Special Challenges
Ensure timely and accurate stakeholder GSAP interface for accurate stocks progression
Ensure timely and accurate capturing and monitoring of suppliers’ portal interface when required
Act as a Primary Scheduler and Supply Analyst support/cover.
Manage overdue Nomination reports within KPI’s.
Ability to work under pressure, under tight deadlines and some overtime required over weekends / public holidays e.g. month-end.
Ensure timely capturing of the right product and volume in GSAP and portal to the right location
Responsible for accurate and focused stakeholder communications
Operation of Business Controls and data generation/reporting

Requirements:
Experience and Qualifications required
Minimum of 3 years’ experience preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management preferred
Excellent working knowledge of GSAP and Microsoft packages
Stakeholder engagement experience
