Job Description:
Key Accountabilities would involve ensuring adherence to the Engineering related subsurface DEPs and HSSE critical activities as well as providing input to the WDP PCAP control points, Plan and oversee data acquisition activities, QA/QC data: maintaining and updating key scorecards and plots, help manage, analyze, and visualize data, surveillance and well performance reviews.
Interfaces: Well Organization, surveillance team, operations, subsurface advisors
In addition, this individual will be expected to work effectively with other teams in the asset and the broader Unconventionals organization.
Dimensions
The Argentina Technical Asset Team consists of around 28 technical subsurface staff and technicians. The subsurface staff sit within 2 teams: SOV & NOV. The SOV Characterize team is responsible for the FE Exploration and development of four Unconventional blocks in Vaca Muerta by creating drilling inventory for 44 wells per year activity.
Key Activities
QA/QC available petrophysical data including wireline logs, MWD, LWD, and core data and integrate results with other disciplines.
Learn and perform established petrophysical workflows including petrophysical modeling, cement bond log evaluation, pore pressure prediction, and data management.
Translate well pad objectives and business requirements into fit-for-purpose, cost effective data acquisition strategies. Build and coordinate logging programs to support data acquisition activities.
Execution of surveillance plans for CVA de-risking and production optimization purposes
Support proposals for well intervention and data acquisition plans.
Oversee contracts for services related to surveillance execution and interface with respective vendors
Contribute to wells after action reviews to improve HSSE, unit development cost and implement learnings from lookbacks
Assist Well Execution Lead, Area Managers and Completion Effectiveness to evaluate well execution & performance
Requirements
Degree in engineering, physics, geoscience, or related discipline.
0 to 4 years technical O&G industry experience. Vaca Muerta petrophysics and logging experience preferred.
Previous experience working with log data and understanding of wireline tool measurements.
Bilingual Spanish/English
Good organization and communication skills, willingness to grow technically and be part of a multi-disciplinary team.
